I grew up in the Northwest in a large family. Much of my time is spent hiking and exploring the outdoors with my wife and kids. Challenge and adventure have always been part of what I enjoy. On a typical week you’ll find me meeting up in the early mornings with running friends, hiking a canyon, reading in a hammock in Pine Valley or out with my wife catching a movie. Oh, and I like ice-cream and doughnuts 🙂
During my personal time, I enjoy trail running, exploring the outdoors, writing, and reading non-fiction and philosophy literature.

Hello, thanks for visiting me here. I invite you to experience a cooperative therapy relationship in which you have the freedom to be yourself, to be imperfect, to laugh, and to evolve. Do you feel like you have to look like you have it all together, but inside, you struggle to enjoy life? Despite your best efforts at change, do you feel stuck? People that speak with me are often like you and me with successful careers, families, and/or social lives. Despite their accomplishments, however, they struggle privately with emotional concerns including anxiety, grief, self-doubt, unresolved trauma, perfectionism, chronic pain, and relationship problems.
Location
I currently see clients in-office and via telehealth (video conferencing). I am currently accepting new clients; I see teens, adults, and couples.
In therapy, we co-create a safe space for discussion and healing. You and me, taking on the task of moving into the root of the problems with compassion and grace. Witnessing both the struggles and triumphs as we find solutions, skills, and tools that help you find what you are needing.
Modalities and Training
I work with anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, and addiction. I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method for couples, and work from a strengths-based perspective. I’ve enjoyed over the years listening to countless experiences people have about their journey. Reach out to me, I’d be happy to work with you!
Work History
I started my career in the health and healing space back in 2005. I became a licensed massage therapist and for the last 18 years I have been helping relax and ground the body of those seeking healing. I’ve grown to love working one-on-one with all types of individuals. I understand and value the mind-body connection. I feel strongly that when we align our minds and our bodies we can find joy and harmony in our relationships and wellbeing. I began a transition into mental health as I felt strongly that the mind is like the body, it’s adaptable and can be guided, grown, and strengthened.
About Me
A little more about me … over the last few years, I have rediscovered my love for the arts and enjoy being on stage in local community theater in various productions. I have also developed a love for running and participating in various athletic and endurance events in Southern Utah. I’m a father of two wonderful kids who brighten my life and bring me so much joy. You’ll find us hiking, playing in the river, or picking up snow cones on a hot day 🙂

I believe all people seek to find joy and peace in their lives and relationships. Sometimes life gets in the way and things become difficult. Do you find that is happening for you? There are times when as hard as we try, we can’t seem to get the tools and skills to find a way out of it all and we feel like we can’t work through our struggle effectively.
I feel great privilege anytime someone chooses to consult with me in exploring the problems they are facing. No matter the issue, I believe that you are the expert of your own life and I view therapy as a collaborative process. Therapy is more than just talking, it’s healing our past so that we can find joy and purpose in today. I have experience working with people that struggle with anxiety, depression, relationships, addiction, and parent-child relationship issues.

Somatic Release Breathwork Practitioner
Hi, I’m a Certified Somatic Release Breathwork Practitioner ™.
Are you experiencing anxiety, fear, sadness, or overwhelm that feels stuck in your body? You are in the right place. I am here to compassionately hold space for you as I guide you on your personalized journey to express and release trauma and pain from the past and present. Trauma and stress often stay in our bodies long after an event has passed, held as tension and emotional pain. Through gentle guidance, I help you reconnect with your body’s natural ability to process and release these stored experiences, facilitating significant shifts in your emotional and physical well-being.
What is Somatic Intervention?
Somatic-based interventions facilitate the reconnection of your mind back to the intelligence of your body. This is a powerful practice that uses intentional, deep breathing techniques to release stored tension, trauma, and emotions in the body. By focusing on the connection between breath and bodily sensations, it helps individuals access a state of self-awareness and deep healing.
Somatic Breathwork
A somatic breathwork treatment involves intentional breathing techniques, insightful questions, music, and space to express and release any stuck emotions. When stress isn’t processed, it becomes “stuck,” leading to persistent symptoms like hypervigilance, numbness, or a constant sense of overwhelm. By addressing these stuck elements directly, this treatment process helps unlock and reset the nervous system. Together, we’ll safely observe and engage with your body’s physical sensations, allowing stored trauma to be released in a supportive and compassionate way. This process releases you from cycles of stress that may be dominating your life, restoring a sense of calm and resilience.
Working together, you’ll discover a transformative path to deeper self-connection and renewed vitality. As you release long-held tensions and trauma, you will notice greater ease in your relationships, expanded self-awareness, and a richer capacity for joy. My approach not only relieves symptoms but opens the door to new levels of consciousness and emotional freedom. Somatic Breathwork is a unique and effective body-based treatment validated by modern research, offering a reliable way to achieve lasting change.
If you’re ready to move beyond the limitations of anxiety, depression, or trauma, I’d be honored to help guide you toward a life of deeper peace and fulfillment. Looking forward to working with you!

Teens, Individuals & Couples
I’m a compassionate and steady presence for teens, individuals, and couples navigating anxiety, relationship strain, trauma, and life transitions. I offer practical support rooted in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
My work is both structured and personal, helping clients develop tools that foster long-term growth and emotional resilience.
I’m passionate about helping couples build stronger, more connected relationships. I’m formally trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, a skills-based model designed to improve communication, reduce conflict, and deepen intimacy. Clients often tell me they value my ability to offer insight while keeping sessions focused and goal-oriented. Whether you’re working through past trauma, stuck in a negative pattern, or simply feeling lost, I aim to offer a thoughtful and action-focused path forward.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years raising my family and working in a variety of professional roles; it’s those experiences in the workplace as well as being a mother and spouse that helped ready me for mental health work. I bring a mature, grounded perspective to my clinical work, shaped by both personal experience and academic training. Having navigated meaningful relationship challenges in my own life, I understand firsthand the emotional complexities that can arise in families and relationships.
I’m happily married with children and bring a seasoned life experience to help people at all stages. I’m an avid reader and love learning about all kinds of topics. I enjoy baking, long walks, and spending time with my family.
